Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Detailed understanding of the customer’s needs and specialized or technical knowledge of the products or services being sold
  • Communicate with Outside Sales/Manufacture Rep’s/Distributors
  • Phone Coverage
  • Warm transfers to other functions
  • Process Customer Complaints and follow up on Quality
  • Price and Availability
  • Providing Competitor Cross
  • Using inquires as a sales opportunity to “grow” the order
  • Use CRM to manage customer inquires
  • Provide support of Pricing Agreements (Distribution and Direct)
  • Provide Order Status
  • Expediting of all Products
  • Use discretion and judgment when satisfying customer requirements outside the standard process
  • Process Returns
  • Proactive notification to customers of delays, changes to schedule, and of shipments
  • Perform audits of processes for continual improvements of order entry accuracy, quotation process, service issues (CCs)
  • Open Order Mgmt.
  • Drive On-time performance based on requirements of the customer
  • Implementation and audit of Stocking Agreements

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Associate’s degree in Business, Marketing or Communications preferred
  • Three to five years’ experience working for a manufacturer and seller of industrial products
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel and Access
  • Experience with SAP is preferred
